At Nail Queen, an acrylic set starts with a consult on length, shape and color. Old product is removed if needed ($15), cuticles are cleaned and the nail plate is prepped. A tip is glued and blended, or a form is used for a fully sculpted nail. Acrylic or Gel-X?
Acrylic for maximum strength and very long lengths. Gel-X for a lighter feel, no smell and easier removal. Your queen can recommend based on how you use your hands. Nail Queen does both.
Does acrylic ruin your nails?
Damage comes from rough removal and over-filing, not from the acrylic itself. At Nail Queen we prep gently and remove with a soak instead of prying. Take a break between sets if your natural nails feel thin.
